Flashback a la Bahamas

Picture this. January one, 2003. Long Island in the Bahamas. Jim and Isam Brisco of Boulder Pools on the beach. Making strategic plans (it looked like they were just lying in the sun) for creating outstanding stamped rock-look tile and coping around the soon-to-be spectacular resort pool for the "Love Beach Cottages". This was our first trip to the Bahamas, and a fine introduction it was. The western shoreline of the island has soft sandy beaches with rich green mangroves.and is a haven for fishing, sailing and yachting, with the Atlantic Ocean on the eastern shore.
Check out more photos here.

We were excited to be working in such a beautiful tropical setting. The Bahamian work hours left plenty of time for exploring the island. The laid-back island culture was a refreshing change from the stressful atmosphere of most construction sites in Texas. But, there were also challenges concerning acquiring all the materials, labor and equipment we needed to move the project along at a fast enough pace.

Our part in the construction project was finished and in May of 2004 we received this e-mail from Sascha D., the project manager.
Hello Jim,
We are done! Finally...
After a meeting with the bosses on the island 2 weeks ago, and a lot of work before that, we handed over the keys to them and everybody loved it...
We are currently working on the "thank you binders and photos" for everyone who helped us with the building process,  you will hear from us soon.
Best regards,
Sascha
